Is it possible to start home-schooling now, when I am in high school? If so, how can I learn more about it? And also, does being home-schooled hinder my chances of being accepted to a good university?

My daughter is planning on Home Schooling her daughter. Does anybody know of any good websites that would help her to plan the curriculum and ones that have work pages that she can print. My grand-daughter is 4 years old right now and is already doing and enjoying Kindergarten work.
To respond to digitalgimpling………Possibly because so many children are coming out of high school without a high school education. Many can’t read or spell properly and are not prepared for moving on to college. These children were taught by someone with a “degree in TEACHING”! I also never stated that my daughter didn’t have a degree in teaching. She does have a degree and my sister (also a teacher for the past 12 years) will be helping her. My daughter also intends to make sure that her daughter is involved in other activities and also a Charter School, to ensure that her daughter will learn socialization skills and also learn to work with others. Home Schooling is not a “Crock” it is an alternative to an education system that doesn’t always work very well.

i want to be home schooled, and i have my reasons, but i need to find a teacher for my dad to hire. where can i find one? how much does home schooling cost?
sorry for the miss spell, the W is next to the E and i must have hit it by accident, you cant blame me for something i did not even know, the spell check is a wast of time, and people who only answer by saying ineed to use the spell check are a wast of recouces and air.
but if i am home schooled, how do i prove i have been schooled at all? i dont get a diploma. i dont get proof of my graduation.

I had asked about home schooling a few weeks ago. I forgot to add if any one knows of a home school where you earn a diploma after you complete school?

I’m interested in home-schooling my children, but whenever I bring this up with teachers at my son’s school, they suddenly get nervous. They’ve even been downright rude when I listened to them, but did not agree about staying in school. Does anyone have information about home-school laws or associations in Nevada where I can get good information?

I would like to know your opinion on home schooling. I have a cousin that does home school but does not do her homework! She rarely does anything but sits around. How can we be sure home schooling really works?

I have read that home schooling is illegal in Hong Kong? Does anyone know for sure if that is right? How about in Spain? I am planning to do home schooling and it might be while we live in Spain and later on we move to Hong Kong.

I have a 14 year old autistic son who is having major problems in school with children picking on him so I have decided to home school him. I need to know where to get the info for home schooling in Wisconsin. I need this ASAP. My son had a major melt down at school yesterday and he had to be taken away by the police for the safety of the other children. This is very serious! I don’t want to see anyone get hurt or him put into an institution. Please send any info you have.
Thanks!
